Casting Decisions for A Hitch in the Road

We are finally going into production for our upcoming short “A Hitch in the Road” (Script Link Here) and we are very excited to announce our outstanding cast:
Here are our decisions.

Matthew Menna as Dave
Matthew Menna is an aspiring actor currently studying at the Toronto Film School. Acting is his passion and always has been, he is trying to do as much as he can to further his career and Matthew is really looking forward to what the future has in store.

Julia Emily Cate as Sarah
Julia was raised in Toronto, Ontario. At a young age she became interested in performing. She excelled at gymnastics and later went on to study dance and musical theatre at the Ontario School of Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. Julia took a break from the arts to complete her degree in Psychology at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Since graduating, Julia has returned to Toronto and currently studies acting at the Armstrong Acting Studio. When not acting Julia loves travelling, S.C.U.B.A. diving, motorcycling, and playing with her Chihuahua named Little Omar.

Grant Macgregor as Tobby
Until Grant was 13 years old, he lived in the small town of Rosedale, Ontario, on Balsam Lake. He spent a good deal of time outdoors, drawing, painting, and creating useless contraptions.He moved in with his mother to St. Cloud, Florida, in 2002, where he continued to pursue the arts, including some dance and creative writing. Having graduated from Harmony High School in 2006, Grant moved to the GTA and began working various jobs, mainly construction and warehousing.He gradually became curious about theatre and film. Grant studied acting in his spare time, and took an occasional job as a background performer. Finally, he decided to give acting a try and worked with Lost Mile Studios earlier this year.
